Christmas has come and gone...

I trust you had an excellent Christmas. The theme at our Christmas services was “joy.” The reality is that we can experience joy in both good times and in bad times. Philippians 4 says, “Rejoice in the Lord always, again I say rejoice!” 1 Thessalonians says, “Always be joyful…”

I’ll be honest, there are times where I struggle with God’s clear direction in this arena. However, I realize if I wait for perfect conditions to experience joy, I’ll never be joyful, because we don’t live in a perfect world.

Regardless of the circumstances, I’m committed to living a life of JOY in 2009. Why don’t you join me?

The snow on the mountains is incredible...

Even Saddleback Mountain had what seemed like a large amount of the white stuff. A white Christmas in Orange County, California, who would have ever thought it was possible?

This is reminder about two things:
First: This weekend, December 20 & 21, the church services are at our regular weekend times. We are continuing in the Fear Not series.

Saturday: 5:30 p.m.
Sunday: 8:30, 10, 10:30 & 11:45 a.m.

Second: Do not miss one of the Christmas Services. ALL seven services are identical in music and message. There is childcare for nursery and preschool children at all seven services. Elementary children and adolescent age students take part in the Christmas services. Here are the times:

Monday, December 22: 7 p.m.
Tuesday, December 23: 6:30 & 7 p.m.
Wednesday, December 24: 3, 3:30, 4:30, 5 p.m.

Make sure to invite someone to come and attend one of the Christmas services with you. I wish you a super Christmas. Jesus stepping into human history…our Savior born to give us new life, it doesn’t get any better. I trust you will celebrate God’s gift to humanity in a profound manner this Christmas season.

Christmas Service Times

Join us for one of our Christmas Services:

• Dec 22nd: 7:00pm (Tent)
• Dec 23rd: 6:30pm (Tent) & 7:00pm (Loft)
• Dec 24th: 3:00pm (Tent), 3:30pm (Loft), 4:30pm (Tent), 5:00pm (Loft)

Nursery & preschool care available at all services. Kindergarten and older will join their parents in the services.

Regular service times will take place the weekend of Jan 3rd & 4th:

• Saturday: 5:30pm (Tent)
• Sunday: 8:30am (Tent, 10:00am (Tent), 10:30am (Loft), 11:45am (Tent)

All services are identical!!

Christmas Outreach Dinner

On Friday, December 19th we are serving a dinner from 5:00-8:00pm for the less fortunate in our community. We hope to serve over 800 people this year. Help is needed in many different areas: cooking a turkey, sorting clothes, serving food, setting up, tearing down, greeting our guests. Starting New Services Times January 17/18....

Starting January 17/18 we are changing our service times. Here are the new times:

• Saturday 5:30pm in the Tent
• Sunday 8:30am in the Loft
• Sunday 9:30am in the Tent
• Sunday 10:00am in the Loft
• Sunday 11:00am in the Tent
• Sunday 11:30am in the Loft

All services in the Tent and Loft are identical. Nursery & children programming is available at all services. Students will meet at the following revised times:

Jr High School:

• Saturday 5:30pm in the Garage
• Sunday 10:00am in the Garage
• Sunday 11:30am in the Garage

High School:

• Sunday 10:00am in the Warehouse
• Sunday 11:30am in the Warehouse
