20 Days of Prayer

Please join us at The Crossing as we go on a journey of 20 Days of Prayer to thank God for all that He has done and all that He will do in our church and community. The 20 Days of Prayer will be kicked off with an ALL CHURCH prayer event on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at 6:30pm in The Loft. We will have a spirit filled evening of worship, prayer, and communion. Everyone will receive a 20 Days of Prayer Devotional that will guide us all through 20 days of focused prayer culminating with The Crossing's 20th Anniversay Celebration in September. For more information about this event contact Randy Moraitis at rmoraitis@thecrossing.com.

School Project by Ian Stevenson

The School Project is all about The Crossing, as a team, our whole church, together serving our community in a practical, tangible and real way. We will be working closely with the Leadership of Estancia High School to do all we can on one weekend to spruce up, clean up and serve this under-resourced school right here in Costa Mesa. The plan is for the entire church to help from 9am-12pm on Sunday September 21st and then have a celebration and service all together afterwards, right there on the school campus. The Crossing always has been, is, and always will be about showing and sharing God’s love to our community in real, relevant and practical ways! You will not want to miss this awesome opportunity for us to do it TOGETHER. Sign ups for the various project crews will begin August 30 & 31 and will continue up until the weekend of the event. Choose what crew you will serve on, and have fun in the process.

Car Service by Stephen Fussle

On the 20th anniversary of The Crossing it is so exciting to do something that reminds us of what we are called to do as Christians. In Orange County it is difficult to step outside financial glass ceilings when one does not have consistent reliable transportation. When we donate a car to someone in need, we are not only serving an individual or our community, but we are serving Christ himself. You might ask yourself:

When did we ever see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you a drink? And when did we ever see you sick or in prison and come to you?' Then the King will say, 'I'm telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me - you did it to me.' Matthew 25:37-40

By donating a car to someone “overlooked or ignored”, we are going above and beyond feeding someone for a day, we are giving them a tool necessary to not only feed themselves, but take care and feed those around them. It is exciting to be serving Jesus Christ in a way that serves our community in a culturally relevant way. We are excited to see what God can do through this car giveaway, and are excited to see you be apart of this unique opportunity. Click here for the Application!
